Skamania County announces special candidate filing period

The Skamania County Auditor’s Office will open a special three-day candidate filing period July 14-16 for offices open for election in 2025 that had no filings during the regular filing period held in May.
Offices open for this special filing period include: Mt. Pleasant School District No. 29 (Position 2), Skamania School District No. 2 (Position 1), Skamania School District No. 2 (Position 3), Stevenson-Carson School District No. 303 (Position 1, two-year unexpired term), Metropolitan Park and Recreation District (Commissioner No. 2), and the Skamania Park and Recreation District No. 1 (Commissioner No. 2).
Candidates are encouraged to file online, but declarations can also be accepted in person. Additional information, including filing fees and incumbent information, is available at skamaniacounty.org/elections or in the office located at 240 N.W. Vancouver Ave., room 27, Stevenson.
