Kitchen 11th at Washougal Motocross

Hometown rider now fourth in 250 CC standings

A first podium finish back at his hometown track will have to wait another year for Levi Kitchen.

The Washougal native finished 11th in the 250 Class at the Washougal National Pro Motocross event Saturday, July 19, at Washougal Motocross Park.

After back-to-back podium finishes in June, Kitchen missed the top-3 spots for a third consecutive time after finishes ninth and 10th in his two motos on Saturday afternoon.

The placing Saturday dropped Kitchen into fourth place in the season standings with 239 points. Garrett Marchbanks moved up to third with 252 points.

Jo Shimoda captured the top spot in the 250 Class Saturday finishing second in the first moto and first in the second moto. Season leader Haiden Deegan was second with a 1-2 finish. Marchbanks was third.

Chase Sexton defended his title in the 450 Class with 1-2 finish in motos.

Jett Lawrence (3-1) placed second, followed by Eli Tomac (2-3).

Jett Lawence held his season lead with 382 points, followed by Hunter Lawrence (321), who placed fourth on Saturday. Tomac is third at 288 points.
