The Downtown Camas Association and LiveWell Camas are teaming up for the Thankful for Pie First Friday from 5-8 p.m. Nov. 7. Visitors can enjoy pie tastings, pie raffles and a pie walk dance party at the event.
Enter the pie raffles at local businesses or complete the “Gratitude Passport” as you shop and be entered to win. There will be kids’ autumn art, crafts, games and treats, s’mores at Journey Church (weather permitting) at 304 Northeast Fourth Ave., First Friday Unplugged for all ages at LiveWell, Lego tables at Journey Church, art shows and more.
With food pantries at critical levels, the event will also serve as an emergency food drive to support local families. Donations will go to the Camas Family Community Resource Center and the Inter-Faith Treasure House.
Nonperishable items such as cereal, canned meats, jam, pasta and sauce, condiments, soups and chili, snack bars and fruit cups are needed. Donations can be dropped off during business hours at LiveWell Camas or at the registration tables on First Friday.
Bring two food items and receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a special prize.
