Watershed Alliance of Southwest Washington will host a tree planting event from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 9 at the Taiwan Semiconductor campus just west of Lacamas Lake in Camas. Parking for the event will be at Skyridge Middle School at 5220 Northwest Parker St.
The event is free to attend although registration is required at https://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/flq78EXZBpIR9TZkVvUhxw?t=1754587847.
Along with a waterproof jacket or coat, wear long pants and sturdy shoes or rainboots. Coffee and pastries will be provided by Taiwan Semiconductor but be sure to bring snacks and water.
Founded in 2008, the Watershed Alliance works to protect and restore waterways and natural areas across the Southwest Washington region. In October, the organization announced it would be closing its doors at the end of 2025 due to ongoing budget cuts and funding delays. Planned tree plantings will continue until the end of the year.
