West Columbia Gorge Humane Society to hold adoption event

The West Columbia Gorge Humane Society received support for local shelter animals via grant funding from Dick Hannah Subaru to host an adoption event from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 25 to help pets in east Clark County.

For the entire month of October, Dick Hannah Subaru will pay all adoption fees for anyone who purchases a vehicle and adopts a pet through WCGHS. This effort is part of Subaru Loves Pets, a national Subaru initiative to support the lives of as many shelter animals as possible.

Dick Hannah Subaru, in partnership with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, has provided WCGHS with a $6,000 grant that will be used to help cover the costs associated with preparing animals for adoption for the month of October.

“Every animal that comes to WCGHS is evaluated medically and behaviorally prior to adoption,” WCGHS executive director Micki Simeone said.
