“Weapon In Waiting,” a play written and produced by Washougal High School graduates Keira Mathews and Alan Stogin detailing the experiences of World War II female pilots, will be available to watch via livestream.
The livestream will begin at 7 p.m. April 5. A link to the livestream will be emailed to people who have purchased a livestream ticket, available at givebutter.com/weaponinwaiting.
“Weapon In Waiting,” produced by Stogin’s Pickle Factory Productions, will debut at Arts On Site NYC in Manhattan for four showings April 4-5.
Mathews’ play highlights the journeys of Women Airforce Service Pilots leaders Nancy Love and Jackie Cochran, who advanced women’s roles in military aviation by proving females could fly military aircraft, thus freeing men for combat, despite facing institutional barriers.
