Camas alumni Jacinda Lee top 4 at PNW Women’s Am

Jacinda Lee of Camas reached the semifinals of the Pacific Northwest Golf Association Women’s Amateur last week.

After finishing second in two rounds of stroke play, Lee had won two rounds of match play at the 124th annual event in Woodburn, Ore.

In Thursday’s semifinals, Lee led Gabriella Kano of Fullerton, Calif., by three holes through 10. But Kano won five of the last seven holes to win the match 2 up.

Raegan Denton of Australia beat Kano 5 and 3 in Friday’s 36-hole final.

Lee shot back-to-back rounds of 71 to finish stroke play at 2-under, three shots behind Denton. She won her round-of-16 match over Francesca Tomp, 5 and 3, on Wednesday before beating Tatum Otto of Bellevue, 2 and 1, on Thursday.

Lee just finished her second season at Colorado State, helping the Rams win the Mountain West Conference title by placing 20th.

At Camas High School, Lee was a three-time district champion and The Columbian’s 2024 All-Region girls golfer of the year after leading the Papermakers to the 4A state title by placing second.
