The Second Story Gallery in Camas will present a two-person exhibition featuring local artists Mike Smith and Uta Zuendel from April 3-25.

The exhibition will highlight artwork drawn from Zuendel’s personal collection, spanning several decades and including pieces dating back to the 1970s.

“Together, the works offer a unique perspective on a lifetime of artistic exploration and creative expression,” a news release states.

The exhibit also highlights the work of Smith, including his “bronze statue in the courtyard.”

Smith and Zuendel, longtime friends and members of the Camas community, share a deep artistic connection shaped by years of collaboration, dialogue and mutual support, according to the news release.

“Their work reflects both individual vision and a shared history rooted in the local arts scene,” the news release states.

An opening reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. April 3, providing an opportunity to meet the artists and experience the exhibition firsthand. An “artist talk” event with Zuendel will take place at 6 p.m. April 20, offering additional insight into her work, influences and artistic journey.

The Second Story Gallery is located within the library and is free and open to the public during regular library hours. For more information about the exhibition or upcoming gallery shows, visit camaspl.org/ssg or contact the Camas Public Library.
