Two nurses from PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center’s neonatal intensive care unit urge parents to verify that car seats are legitimate and federally approved after a family unknowingly purchased a counterfeit seat on TikTok.

Nurses Tess Mowers and Meg Hutton were preparing to discharge a newborn in late August when another nurse noticed something seemed off about the car seat.
