Paige Maas, an eighth-grader at Jemtegaard Middle School, during an advocacy trip with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) in Washington D.C., March of 2018. Maas was diagnosed with type one diabetes when she was seven years old and was selected by the ADA to be an advocate for people with diabetes.
