Alyssa Blankenship runs by two Anacortes Seahawks and scores two points Friday, at the Yakima Sun Dome. She scored 1,241 points in four years of high school basketball in Washougal, which is second all-time in the program's history. Blankenship was also named to the 2A all-state tournament team.

Alyssa Blankenship scored all 12 of her points in the second half Saturday. She also earned 11 steals and 11 rebounds to complete a triple-double and help Washougal beat White River 40-34 in overtime.

The Washougal girls basketball team beat W.F. West and Hockinson in overtime to finish third in districts and advance to state for the first time since 1983.
