Katie Boon scored the winning goal for Washougal during the final minute of a district playoff game against R.A. Long Nov. 3. A corner kick by Boon led to the only goal for the Panthers Thursday. They lost to Black Hills on PKs.

The Camas boys cross country team claimed second place at the 4A bi-district meet Saturday, in Tacoma. Both of the Papermaker boys and girls squads will compete in the state championship meet Saturday, Nov. 7, on the Sun Willows Golf Course, in Pasco.

Five Camas girls cross country runners finished in the top seven of the 4A Greater St. Helens League district championship race Wednesday, at Lewisville Park in Battle Ground. Rachel Blair (17) won with a time of 18:49, followed by Emma Jenkins (19) in 18:53.
