Danny Allen Stineback Sr.

May 18, 1949 ~ February 6, 2022
Danny Allen Stineback, Sr. 72, lost a four year battle with cancer on Feb. 6, surrounded by family and loved ones. Danny was born in Vancouver, WA, to Joseph and Barbara Stineback on May 18, 1949.
He was preceded in death by his parents and angel granddaughter, Kristina. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his brother, Gerald Stineback; and sister, Frances McCuiston. Combined family daughters, Tammy Stineback (Paul) Johnson, Helena, MT, Bobbie (Tim) Bell, Ridgefield, WA, Jennifer Peters (Shane Granlee), Tucson, AZ; sons, Danny Jr. (Ashley) Stineback, Shoreline, WA, Jimmy (Alycia) Peters, Buckeye, AZ, and Tony (Heidi) Nizer, Milwaukee, OR; 11 grandchildren, Nic, Tana, TJ, Austin, Josie, Colby, Samantha, Zackary, Henry, George and Brennan; 2 great-grandchildren, Kason and Rainaily with one more on the way. Can’t forget about his loyal dog Bella.
Danny served in the National Guard. He retired from the Camas Paper Mill. As a lifetime Washougal resident he was involved in his community his whole life, from coaching Little League and keeping stats for WHS football games. He rode his mules in many parades, Stevenson, Glenwood, and Enterprise, OR, waving at everyone (even if he didn’t know them). Danny spent his free time playing fastpitch softball (in his younger years), outdoors leading a pack string in the mountains and at his favorite beach location in Ocean Park. You could always find Danny sitting around the campfire with a smile on his face, eating black licorice and a helping hand ready. He was a member of BCHW (Back Country Horsemen of Washington) Mount St. Helen’s and Mt. Adams chapters, always helping with the Sportsmen Show, the Horse Expo, and the Winery Ride in Zillow. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to BCHW Mount St. Helen’s chapter.
