Teddy Ray Bakken

December 10, 1955 ~ October 8, 2022
Teddy Ray Bakken, 66, passed away peacefully with his children by his side on Oct. 8, 2022 in Seattle.
Teddy was born in Kalispell, MT, to Dottie and Theodore.
Teddy is survived by his wife, Barbara (Smead); and three children, Tessie (Josh), Teddy (Consuelo) and Kelly (Adrienne); stepmother, Roberta; brother, Einar; sisters, Sonja, Dottie Ann, Tina, Tami and Starla. Teddy loved being grandpa to his six grandchildren, Cooper, Kash, Brandon, Karson, Penelope and Madison.
Teddy attended Hathaway school in Washougal before moving up to the great state of Alaska where he graduated high school in Naknek, AK. After high school Teddy proudly served 4 years in the U.S. Army, and at the conclusion of his service he eventually returned back to Washougal where he reunited with his childhood classmate Barbara Lynn Smead. In the early part of Teddy’s career you’d find him underground splicing cable for Underground Linemen, and later on hauling woodchips up the Colombia River Gorge in his 18 wheeler. Teddy loved to spend the fall up at hunting camp near Four Corners, and during the summers he would return to Naknek to commercial fish for salmon in Bristol Bay. Teddy was a friend to many and loved by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be determined in Washougal.
