Abby Lees will never forget the thrill of having her hand raised in the state championship match. The Washougal High School sophomore has been dreaming and working hard for that moment for two years.

Abby Lees feared the worst when she saw Lincoln's DJ White on her side of the state bracket. Friends and family convinced Lees to approach the match from a different perspective. "They got me to believe that DJ White was on the same side of the bracket as me," Lees said.
