Camas Days 2017

Spectators watch from the Third Avenue Bridge as 5,500 rubber ducks drop into the Washougal River Sunday to begin the 2017 Ducky Derby. The Camas-Washougal Rotary Club puts on this race during Camas Days weekend every year to raise money for its community service projects.

Veteran Outdoors, a national 501(c) 3 non-profit all-volunteer organization that honors U.S. wounded veterans’ patriotism and their sacrifice by providing quality adventures, participated in the Camas Days Grand Parade, Saturday. Veterans from throughout the U.S. will arrive for a fishing and reunion weekend in Camas and Washougal, Sept. 7-10.

The Camas Days Grand Parade, Saturday, included a Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4278 float that honored those who have served in the U.S. military. In keeping with this year's Camas Days' theme, "Once Upon A Time," a banner on the VFW vehicle stated "Once upon a time, we were soldiers. Now we are veterans."
