The Fort Vancouver Regional Library (FVRL) system is inviting artists to submit their work for its 2022 Artists of the Gorge exhibition, to be held in October at the Stevenson Community Library.

The exhibition is open to all artists age 18 and older who live in the Columbia River Gorge, Oregon and Washington residents from The Dalles (on the Oregon side) to Washougal. Paintings, drawings, sculpture, wood pieces, fabric art and other media will be considered. Entries must be recent — completed within the last two years — and original works. Copies, patterns, commercial art or class work will not be accepted.

FVRL is accepting submissions through Sept. 13, at the Stevenson Community Library. Each artist may submit a maximum of two entries. All artists will be notified by email and art not chosen for exhibit is to be picked up by Sept. 30.

Artwork must be suitably prepared for display (framed and wired, ready for hanging; under glass or plexiglass as appropriate). Artists who would like to be included in the virtual exhibit can email a jpeg of their art (less than 10MB) to dwyatt@fvrl.org.

Three “Jurors Choice” awards will be announced on Oct. 1: first prize ($200), second prize ($150) and third prize ($100). A “People’s Choice” award ($50) will be announced on Nov. 1.
