Community Chest earns well deserved recognition

An organization that has helped thousands of children, adults and senior citizens over the years will earn some deserved recognition this week.

Camas-Washougal Community Chest has been in existence since 1946, but its members often do the charitable work quietly, albeit very passionately. On Thursday, the organization’s leaders will accept the Compassion for Seniors Award from Meals on Wheels People at its Spring Luncheon.
