Camas man retires from MacKay & Sposito, Inc.

A former president and chief executive officer of MacKay & Sposito, Inc. has retired. Al Schauer, of Camas, served most recently as a senior principal at the civil engineering firm. He was responsible for managing new office growth, mentoring new employees and serving as a project advisor.

Last Wednesday was the first day of a six-month trial consolidation period between the Camas and Washougal fire departments. The day included the first combined command staff meeting with Camas and Washougal officers. The meetings will be held on a monthly basis.
