The campanile at Reflection Plaza in downtown Washougal has a whole new look, designed to celebrate the history and natural beauty of the area and foster a sense of community.

Camas Plein Air event returns to downtown Camas Saturday

People can watch artists paint outdoors at various points along Northeast Fourth Avenue and other main downtown Camas streets from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., then attend an artist reception at RedDoor Gallery, 411 N.E. Dallas Street, from 4 to 6 p.m. to see the finished art, meet the artists and view an awards ceremony.

Washougal nabs $2 million grant for street safety

The city of Washougal has received a $2.06 million grant from the Washington State Department of Transportation’s (WSDOT) Safe Routes to School program will help improve safety to a highly trafficked section of 39th Street near Washougal High School.
