‘Archaeological dig’ installed in Washougal

Washougal Parks employees recently installed several digging play elements in Dick Beaver Park. The "Things With Wings" development will include native wildflowers that attract birds and butterflies. The city received a $4,271 grant from the Parks Foundation of Clark County to pay for the project.

Washougal Parks employees recently installed several digging play elements in Dick Beaver Park. The “Things With Wings” development will include native wildflowers that attract birds and butterflies. The city received a $4,271 grant from the Parks Foundation of Clark County to pay for the project.

Images of prehistoric plant life are among the features of the new additions to Beaver Park. In addition to a path and a gazebo, the park will include basalt columns that were previously located in Reflection Plaza. Completion of the project is expected in the summer of 2011.
