Six Camas gymnasts qualify for state

Amy Siebenthaler finished first on the floor and third in the all-around for Camas at the 3A district gymnastics meet Friday, at Naydenov.

After the Camas gymnasts captured second place at districts Friday, six Papermakers are on their way to the Tacoma Dome.

Amy Siebenthaler took home the floor district championship with a dynamic performance that rated a 9.7. She also finished second on the beam (9.525), fourth on the vault (8.5) and fourth on the bars (7.85). Siebenthaler snatched third all-around with 35.575 points.

Audrey Siebenthaler scored fourth on the floor (9.3), fifth on the bars (7.0), ninth on the beam (8.2) and 13th on the vault (8.15) for a grand total of 32.65 points. Amanda Bolton grabbed seventh on the bars (6.3), eighth on the beam (8.45), 11th on the vault (8.2) and 12th on the floor (8.4) to generate 31.35 points.

Grace Giordano notched ninth on the bars (6.05), Jessica Meyer earned 11th on the floor (8.55) and Hayden Sutton took 12th on the floor (8.4).

The 3A state gymnastics meet is Feb. 18 and 19 at the Tacoma Dome.
