Instrument is used in Epiphany concert at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church

Matt Henry played the double bass, accompanied by Kristin Yoshimura on violin and Scott Powell on organ at the Jan. 2 Epiphany concert at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, in Camas. The violin was made by Alan Boehlke, who also constructed the pipe organ with Powell. It was Powell's senior project at Washougal High School last year. "I really wanted to do something that no one else at that school had ever done," he said. "Only a handful in that area had ever played before."
