Grotter graduates from Loyola Marymount University

Erik Grotter of Camas recently graduated from Loyola Marymount University, joining more than 1,300 classmates in LMU’s 2012 graduating class. Grotter earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Loyola Marymount University is located in Los Angeles, and is a comprehensive university offering 60 major programs, 38 master’s degrees and a doctoral degree in education from four colleges, two schools and Loyola Law School.

Jena Long earns degree from Miami University

Jena Marie Long of Washougal was among 3,219 students from Miami University who received degrees during spring commencement exercises Saturday, May 5 at Yager Stadium.

Long received a bachelor of science degree.

Miami University is a public university located in southwest Ohio offering more than 100 degree programs in humanities, science, engineering, business, education and fine arts.

Community Coalition to meet

The Washougal Community Coalition will meet at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 26 at the East County Family Resource Center, 1702 “C” St.

The meeting is free and open to the public. The purpose is to determine how to best make Washougal a healthy, thriving community by collaboration between the city, schools and community. It is one of several small communities selected across the state to participate as part of the Prevention Redesign Initiative.
