Pendleton Woolen Mills announces a new CEO

A Seattle resident has been appointed as the chief executive officer of Pendleton Woolen Mills.

Mark Korros served most recently as the CEO and president of Filson, an outfitter for outdoor enthusiasts.

He has 39 years of experience in leadership, brand development, product merchandising, direct marketing, e-commerce and retail and wholesale sales. Prior to working at Filson, Korros served as president at Samsonite and FranklinCovey.

He has also held senior executive positions at Reebok, Levenger and Healthtex Childrenswear.

The Pendleton Woolen Mill, at Two Pendleton Way, Washougal, since 1912, employs 187.

The company was founded in Pendleton, Ore. in 1909. A celebration of the Pendleton Woolen Mills’ 100 years in Washougal was held in August 2012.
