Johnson-Higley
Emily Rose Johnson and Jacob Scott Higley, both of Washougal, have announced their plans to be married March 7, 2015, at Gateway Church in Washougal. The childhood sweethearts will be married exactly 10 years to-the-day since Jacob asked Emily to be his girlfriend when they were both in the eighth grade.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Eldon and Laurie Johnson of Washougal. She is a 2009 graduate of Washougal High School, and earned a bachelor’s degree in human development in 2014 from Washington State University. She is employed as a preschool teacher at The Goddard School.
The groom-to-be is the son of Carolyne Higley of Washougal and the late Steve Higley. He is a 2009 graduate of Washougal High School, and currently studies fire science at Portland Community College. He is employed as a project manager at Silver Star Industries.
