Celebrations Acheson
Edward and Emma Acheson will soon celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. The couple was married Jan. 16, 1954, in Wichita, Kansas.
Ed is retired after working as a machine tender at the Camas paper mill for 38 years. He also spent time as a business owner and woodworker. Emma is a former nurse and local business owner.
Ed and Emma have four children: Lonnie Acheson of Gladstone, Oregon; Tammy Dinius of Washougal; Larry Acheson of Tigard, Oregon; and Jerry Acheson of Washougal. The couple also has nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, with another on the way.
An open house to celebrate the couple’s milestone will be held from 4 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Luepke Center, 1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd., Vancouver.
