A suspect in a robbery at a Camas gas station remains at large.
On Jan. 17, just before 7 a.m., police were dispatched to the Prune Hill Shell gas station, located at 1220 N.W. 28th Ave.
According to a press release, the female clerk at the station/convenience store reported that just before opening, a white, adult male armed with something dark and large — either a firearm or an umbrella — entered the store and demanded money.
According to CPD Officer Debrah Riedl, the suspect, wearing a scarf to cover his face and beanie to cover his head, fled the scene in a vehicle heading eastbound with approximately $142. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect.
The clerk, who was not harmed, described the suspect as a white male, 5.5 to 5.6 feet tall.
The crime is being investigated.
