For who knows how long, four metal drums and a derelict boat have lingered in Round Lake, along with a car that may still be somewhere underwater.

Volunteers from the Lacamas Watershed Council, a Camas-based nonprofit that advocates for improved water quality in Lacamas, Round and Fallen Leaf lakes, discovered the items in late 2025. After the lake’s annual autumn drawdown exposed the debris again this year, Washington State Department of Ecology workers inspected the site Sept. 30. They found four metal drums and a derelict boat, removed two of the drums and reported the boat to the state Department of Natural Resources. They were unable to locate the car.
