Kindergarten registration set

Kindergarten registration for all Washougal schools is open. Parents who do not register their child before schools close for the summer may pick up registration packets at the Washougal School District Office, 4855 Evergreen Way.

All elementary schools will host kindergarten related events on Thursday, Aug. 25.

Orientation at Hathaway Elementary will be from 11:30 to 1 p.m., an open house will happen at Gause Elementary from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and at Cape Horn-Skye from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

TreeSong to host Family Fun Day

TreeSong is hosting a Nature Adventures Family Fun Day from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 5 at Fallen Leaf Park, 325 N.E. 23rd Ave.

The costs is $15 per child or $30 for a family with two or more children.

The day will include nature-based activity stations and a run around the lake side trail, as well as live music, games, art activities and face painting.

Attendees are asked to bring a picnic lunch.

CSD to increase lunch prices

Beginning in the fall, school lunch prices will increase by five cents in all schools in the Camas School District.

The increase was unanimously approved at the April 25 School Board meeting.

It is necessary so that the district can keep receiving funds for the federal free- and reduced-price lunch program.

VBS coming to Zion Lutheran

Zion Lutheran Church is hosting a vacation bible school for preschool through incoming fifth-graders Monday through Thursday, June 27 to 30.

Times are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., for first through fifth-grade, and 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for preschoolers.

The cost is $15 for preschool VBS and $30 for grade school VBS, provided attendees are registered before Saturday, June 11.
