Washougal’s 54?40′ Brewing Company will be one of more than 100 breweries participating in the Washington Beer Open House program on Saturday, March 1.

The event, now in its ninth year, is organized by the Washington Beer Commission.

“Washington Beer Open House will allow you to take a look behind the scenes at some of Washington’s most innovative breweries, talk to the brewers themselves, discover new breweries, try unique craft beer creations and meet some new craft beer loving friends,” according to a news release promoting the event.

54?40′ Brewing staff will conduct tours hourly, from noon to 5 p.m., Saturday.

“We’ll also have our brewers spinning vinyl with food specials in the pub alongside the release of our new Candy Cap Mushroom Stout,” according to a post on the 54?40? Brewing Facebook page.

Stevenson’s Walkabout Brewing Company also will participate, with tours and tastings at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., as well as five Vancouver breweries — Fortside Brewing Company, Ghost Runners Brewery, Heathen Brewing, Hopworks Vancouver and Loowit Brewing.
