Camas School District: The school board will hold a regular meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Zellerbach Administration Center, at 841 N.E. 22nd Ave., Camas.

Washougal City Council: The council will hold a workshop at 5 p.m., and a regular meeting at 7 p.m., Monday, July 22, at Washougal City Hall, 1701 “C” St., Washougal.

Friends of Washougal Community Library: The Friends of the Library will hold a regular meeting from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, at the Washougal Community Library, 1661 “C” St., Washougal.

CWEDA: The Camas-Washougal Economic Development Association (CWEDA) will meet at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, July 18, at the Port of Camas-Washougal, 24 S. “A” St., Washougal.


Camas Public Library: Preschool Storytime for children ages 3 to 5 years will be held at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 19, and Tuesday, July 23. Slavic storytime (in Russian and Ukrainian) will begin at 10:15 a.m., Monday, July 22. Korean storytime will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, July 22. The English Conversation Group will meet at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 23. Tiny Tots Storytime will be held at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 24. Storytime in the Parks will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, Monday, July 22, at Grass Valley Park, 3211 N.W. 38th Ave., Camas. Washougal Community Library: Family storytime, for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and children, will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 19. “Yuki Origami: Dollar Bill” a program for teens to learn how to fold dollar bills into cute animals and more, is scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, July 19. Teen Night will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 19. Craft and Play will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 23. A “Gumboot Dance” for children and teens, featuring the history of South African mine workers who left their homelands to work in Johannesburg mines, told through storytelling, will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 24. Attic Gallery: The gallery is showcasing a “Locals Only” show, featuring Camas-Washougal artists, throughout July. Attic Gallery is located at 421 N.E. Cedar St., Camas.

Second Story Gallery: “Animalibris,” a paper art show carefully cut by the “Lovebirds Paper” team of Muriel Wheatley and Levi Greenacres, is on display throughout July. Meals on Wheels: Lunches, prepared by The Meals on Wheels People, are served at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, in the Washougal Community Center, at 1681 “C” St., Washougal. Meals on Wheels home delivery is available Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed. For more information, call 360-210-5666, email or visit

Washougal Senior Center: Meals on Wheels provides coffee from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and serves lunch at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday. The center hosts a food bank at 11 a.m., Mondays. Activities offered during the week include: cribbage, bingo, bunco, pinochle, billiards, watercolor painting and exercise classes. A breakfast fundraiser, to support Washougal Community Center activities, is held on the last Friday of each month (except November and December) from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $5. A potluck is held on the first Friday of each month. Refuel Friday, sponsored by local churches and nonprofits, is offered from 4 to 6 p.m. every Friday. Camas High School class of 1969: The class will hold its 50th class reunion from 5:30 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at a Beer at a Time, 216 N.E. Third Ave., Camas. Cost is $5. Watercolorists group: The watercolor group meets from 1:30 to 3 p.m., every Tuesday, at the Washougal Community Center, 1681 “C” St. This is not an instructed class; however, there is a group critique at the end of the session. All are welcome.
