News A Vancouver man died Sunday, Aug. 9, in a car crash near the intersection of Northwest Lake Road and Northwest Lacamas Lane in Camas.
According to the Camas Police Department, 43-year-old Jeffrey Baker, of Vancouver, was driving a Mazda 6 sedan westbound on Lake Road around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, when he crossed the center line for unknown reasons and crashed into an Audi sedan travelling eastbound.
Baker, the sole occupant of the Mazda, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Audi’s five occupants were treated and released with minor injuries.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Department’s Traffic Unit assisted Camas police with their investigation, which closed Northwest Lake Road for several hours Sunday.
