Medical examiner rules Washougal woman’s death a homicide

A Washougal woman found dead in her home June 14 was murdered. 

A medical examiner determined Sandra Ladd, 71, died of stab wounds to her torso and was the victim of a homicide. 

Emergency responders from the Washougal Police Department and Camas-Washougal Fire Department responded to a home in the 1900 block of 41st Street in Washougal around 4:30 p.m. June 14, where they discovered Ladd’s body. 

Investigators from the Washougal Police Department and Clark County Major Crimes Unit say they do not believe there is a danger to the public at this time and are actively investigating the case.
