Camas Parks and Recreation’s popular, Friday night “Movies in the Park” series will kick off the 2022 season on Friday, Aug. 5, with a showing of “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

The free movies, shown every Friday evening in August at Crown Park (located at Northeast Everett and Northeast 17th Avenue), are family-friendly and begin at dusk.

Pre-movie activities begin one hour before the movie begins.

The 2022 Movies in the Park lineup includes:

  • “Guardians of the Galaxy” (PG-13) – Aug. 5, at 8:45 p.m.
  • “Raya and the Last Dragon” (PG) – Aug. 12, at 8:30 p.m.
  • “Sing 2” (PG) – Aug. 19, at 8:30 p.m.
  • “Encanto” (PG) – Aug. 26, at 8:15 p.m.

Attendees are welcome to bring dinner and snacks, or can purchase novelty treats such as popcorn and candy at Crown Park.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs — but should note that, to preserve views of the movie screen, chairs will be placed in one half of the viewing area and blankets will be placed in the other half.

This is a free event, with no registration required.  Alcohol and pets are not allowed in Crown Park.

The Movies in the Park series is sponsored by Camas United Methodist Church, PFLAG Southwest Chapter and Discovery Dental.
