U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03) recently announced she will be co-hosting a Veterans Career and Resource Fair with the Clark College Veterans Center of Excellence (VCOE) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Clark College’s Gaiser Hall, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver.

At the fair, Southwest Washington veterans and their families will be able to meet with local organizations and employers, learn about employment opportunities, and get support with veterans benefits. Veterans are encouraged to bring a copy of their DD214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty).

Veterans service organizations and employers who would like to request a table at the event may do so through this online form.

“It’s our responsibility to ensure our nation’s heroes are well-supported after returning home,” said Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez. “The Veterans Career and Resource Fair will help ensure our Southwest Washington veterans and their families can access the resources, jobs, and benefits they deserve. I’m grateful for the partnership of Clark College, as well as for all the community organizations who will be able to join us in supporting our local heroes.”

The Clark College Veterans Center of Excellence coordinates comprehensive support services for veteran students. These services address academic, financial, physical, and social needs for student veterans and include: math, science, and English tutors, textbook and calculator loans, textbook purchase, quiet study space, a computer lab with printers, practical workshops, break areas and more.
