Credible evidence exists to show that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu covertly supported Hamas for years to foster divisions between Palestians in the Gaza Strip (controlled by Hamas) and those in the West Bank (partially controlled by the Fatah-run Palestinian Authority) to reduce the likelihood of a unified Palestinian State.
