The city councils of Camas and Washougal have passed a joint resolution to put the formation of a Regional Fire Authority (RFA) on the April 22, 2025, Special Election ballot.
The cities are looking for interested individuals to serve on one of two committees: those in favor of the formation of an RFA; and those against the formation of an RFA.
Committee members will draft statements for or against the formation of an RFA to be published in the Clark County Voters’ Pamphlet.
Interested individuals that reside within the municipal boundaries of Camas or Washougal may email a notice of interest for either committee to Camas Communications Director Bryan Rachal at [email protected] or Washougal Communications Manager Michele Loftus at [email protected].
The deadline to submit a written notice of interest is 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30. Written notice can also be provided in person at Camas City Hall, located at 616 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas, or at Washougal City Hall, located at 1701 “C” St., Washougal.
