Washougal Mayor David Stuebe holds a slight lead over his Democratic opponent for Washington’s 17th Legislative District, Position 2 seat, after a second ballot count on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Though Niles initially led Stuebe 50.18% to 49.69% on election night, a second ballot count bumped Stuebe’s vote total from 30,306 votes Tuesday night to 32,333 votes as of Wednesday. The current results show Stuebe with 50.02% of the vote to Niles’ 49.84% (32,218 votes), with 87 votes (0.13%) for write-in candidates.
