The department also gave out a Civilian Service Award to Camas resident Luboslava Ross; Life Saving awards to Sgt. Chuck Nadgwick, code enforcement officer Kraig Anspach, Officer Casey Handley, and Officer Steven Jeffries; a Purple Heart medal to Handley; Distinguished Service awards to Hausinger, Jeffries, Officer Tessa Bennett, Officer Kevin Hermann, Officer Taylor Kruse, Nadgwick, Officer Carlos Gonzalez, and records clerks Shawna Sommerville, Angela Hancock, Sydney Baker, and Alicia Stevens; and a Medal of Merit to Officer Henry Scott.
“The Camas Police Department team continues to amaze and inspire me,” Chief Tina Jones said. “Nearly every week, I get an email, phone call or drop-in visit from a community member who wants to share their gratitude about how one of our team members went above and beyond in their service.”
