Northeastern Washington’s Pend Oreille River is officially helping power Clark County homes. And more clean energy is on the way.

Clark Public Utilities signed a contract in 2022 with Pend Oreille Public Utility District to buy all the energy produced from its Box Canyon Dam beginning Jan. 1, 2026, through 2041.
