The Washougal Arts and Culture Alliance will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Washougal Arts and Music Festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Reflection Plaza in downtown Washougal.
The regional event highlights original works from Pacific Northwest artists alongside live music hosted by the Washougal Songcraft Festival. Families can also participate in interactive, hands-on activities and view live artist demonstrations throughout the day.
To commemorate a decade of the festival, this year’s official event poster features a visual retrospective showcasing artwork from previous years’ selections.
“We are excited to celebrate 10 years of bringing art, music and community together in downtown Washougal,” WACA President Janice Ferguson said in a news release. “This festival has become a beloved community tradition, and we’re proud to showcase both returning and new artists while creating an enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.”
This year’s festival lineup includes: Gary L. Quay, Barbara Bureker, Richard Britschgi, Berton and Christy Atherton Schrack, Linda Ballard, Shawnna Goodwin and Stephanie Chamberlin (fine art and mixed media); Tamara Dinius, Tom West, Kathy Lovrien, Marina Pearson, Toni McCarthy, Jeannette Y. Fedorka, and Jessica W. Julian (illustration and diverse mediums); and Lorna Lambert, Nicole Gustafson, Becca Luu and Monica Hwang, LesleyAnne Ezelle, Saani Smith, and Hiroko Stumpf (contemporary and collaborative works).
