Port varies meeting times to attract diverse audience

The Port of Camas-Washougal Board of Commissioners’ meetings tend to feature the same audience members on a regular basis. Martha Martin and Richard Hamby, a Washougal couple, regularly attend the meetings. So do Kent Mehrer, the president of the Camas-Washougal Aviation Association, and Tony Bacon, a boater and regular user of Parker’s Landing Marina.

State revises COVID-19 rules on school sports

Camas and Washougal high school student-athletes won’t participate in any official competitions for at least two more months, but new guidelines from the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) have given them hope that they’ll be able to return to the practice field soon.

Congressional candidates vying to represent Southwest Washington’s 3rd District faced off last week in an Oct. 9 online forum that proved to be anything but dull.
