Camas teacher takes top state honor

Cheers erupted at the Camas School District (CSD) Board of Directors meeting Monday night after school board members learned Camas educator Amy Campbell had been named Washington state’s “2020 Teacher of the Year” earlier that day.

WSD staff, board members pleased with 2019-20 budget

The Washougal School District (WSD) administrative office was virtually empty and relatively quiet when the WSD board of directors voted to adopt the district’s 2019-20 budget on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Chamber Music on the Mountain returns to Camas

He’s been bringing celebrated classical musicians to Camas for nearly two decades, but this year’s 17th annual Chamber Music on the Mountain concert series, which comes to Livingston Mountain for live performances on Sept. 14 and Sept. 21, will be bittersweet for Peter Christ.
