Gorge agency funding restored

When the Washington House and Senate stripped all funding for the Columbia River Gorge Commission from their proposed budgets during heated negotiations at the end of March, the future looked bleak for the bistate agency. But on Monday, the agency learned that its funding had been restored — or at least some of it.

Crown Park remodel makes progress

Construction is still in full swing at Camas’ historic Crown Park, but city leaders say the end of the extensive, $6.3 million park remodeling project is finally in sight.

Gluesenkamp Perez feels heat at town hall

A line of more than 500 people wrapped around the Luepke Center in central Vancouver for U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez’s April 24 town hall. Most of them were there to criticize the Skamania Democrat for siding with Republicans on recent controversial votes. Many of them had voted for her.
