Port commissioner questions customer service at Washougal Transfer Station

A Port of Camas-Washougal commissioner is questioning the quality of customer service at the Washougal Transfer Station, a solid waste and recycling center located at 4020 S. Grant St., in Washougal, that is governed by a contract between Clark County and Columbia Resource Company, a division of Waste Connections of Washington.

Port completes Lawton Creek mitigation

The Port of Camas-Washougal has completed a mitigation project at Lawton Creek that will provide its Columbia River levee system with additional protection.

‘Bringing dollars into the local economy’

From the more than 2,900 hours its volunteers contributed to improving the city of Camas’ historic downtown district to the nearly $30,000 worth of facade improvement grants and $5,800 mural investment on Northeast Cedar Street, the Downtown Camas Association (DCA) clocked some significant accomplishments in 2023.

Washougal Business Association relaunches

In the summer of 2022, the Washougal Business Association (WBA)’s new leadership group met for a full-day retreat at board member Greg Goforth’s residence to talk about the purpose of the nonprofit organization, which had basically gone dark months earlier, and what it could do to help the Washougal business community thrive.
