A Washougal library update The Washougal Library is one of 16 library service sites in the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District. It opened in 1981 in the current 2,400 square foot building, when the population of Washougal was about 4,000. It's a warm and inviting place - but tiny.

Students can confide in school staff I am writing in response to the March 25, article titled "District clarifies boundaries between students, staff." We appreciate the work done by the Camas-Washougal Post-Record to keep the community informed of work being done in the school district. The Washougal School District has been engaged in a major update of every school board policy, bringing all 298 of them into compliance with new laws, legal guidance, and renumbering them to match those in use in other districts. We are working with the Washington State School Director's Association to review all policies, and our Board of Directors is adopting policies as recommended by WSSDA.

City Council should support I-502 in Camas The demand for marijuana is spinning off enormous profits for drug cartels, for gangs, and for illegal dealers. Allowing regulated marijuana sales in Camas would allow us to refocus limited city resources on more important priorities and would redirect millions of dollars that are currently flowing to criminal organizations each year to legitimate businesses and provide a source of additional revenue for Camas.
