The Washougal Schools Foundation’s annual Stride for Education fundraiser was held Saturday at Fishback Stadium at Washougal High School.

Caleigh Lofstead secured the state championship for the second year in a row with this vault of 11 feet, 9 inches, Saturday, at Mt. Tahoma Stadium, in Tacoma. The Camas High School senior topped out at 12-3 on a windy day.

Hannah Gianan clinched second place for Camas in the district tournament Friday, at Club Green Meadows. On Saturday, she beat Skyline's Dora Varsa 6-1, 6-1 in a bi-district playoff match to qualify for state for the third year in a row.
