Nikki Corbett clinched the state discus championship for Camas with her first throw of 137-9 Thursday, at Mt. Tahoma High School, in Tacoma. She also earned sixth place in the shot put Friday.

Camas High School senior Ryan Gunther captured three titles during the final day of the 4A district track and field meet May 19, at McKenzie Stadium. He finished first in the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles (above) and the 1,600 relay.

Appeal delves deeper into Camas football investigation

Thursday's appeal hearing in Chehalis revealed more into a recruiting investigation on Camas High School football coaches Jon Eagle and Dan Kielty. Although the WIAA Executive Board voted to reduce Eagle's suspension from four games to three, Kielty's punishment has been extended from one to three games.

Hailey Oster shot a team-best round of 79 strokes for Camas in the first round of the district tournament Monday, on the Lewis River Golf Course, in Woodland. She's currently ranked third on the leaderboard.
