Bradey Anne Wallenborn and Ryan Scott Turner have announced their plans to be married in the summer of 2011.
A son has been born to Heather L. and Joshua C. Robertson of Vancouver. Isaac S. Robertson was born June 27, 2010, at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver. He weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces.
A daughter has been born to Mandy K. and Michael J. Lomax of Washougal. Alyssa K. Lomax was born July 9, 2010, at 4:39 p.m., at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver. She weighed 8 pounds.
Commuters, shoppers and recreational drivers between Vancouver and Portland will continue to face tough weekend drives for the next few months as four lanes of the southbound I-205 Glenn Jackson Bridge will be reduced to just two lanes during bridge joint replacement work. The I-205 bridge is co-owned by the states of Oregon and Washington, with Oregon responsible for maintenance of the structure. More than 140,000 vehicles cross the bridge each day. The Oregon Department of Transportation is replacing 20 aging bridge joints on the north end of the structure. The joints are more than 30 years old and at the end of their functional lifespan. Drivers felt the effects of around-the-clock double-lane closures during work on the northbound bridge lanes earlier this year. Backups extended 10 miles into Oregon, delays topped two hours and I-5 became clogged with detouring drivers.

Every summer the end of the school year signals a welcome break for students, teachers and school district officials everywhere. But here in Camas, a drumbeat of activity to renovate and improve existing facilities along with plans to build a new school have kept school district officials busier than usual throughout the summer. As reported in the Post-Record the past two weeks, the Camas School district, while overseeing a major renovation of Doc Harris Stadium, is also moving ahead on (1.) Construction of a new elementary school just west of Crown Road, (2) Extensive additions and renovation to Camas High School and (3) Additions and renovation to Dorothy Fox Elementary School.

School notes
Parents, are your kids starting to use the "b" word at home? As in, "I'm bored!" If so, there will be three different day camps coming up soon to help. Kathy Marty, a local artist and teacher at River Homelink in Camas, will be leading the camps.
